This wise book should be given to every couple at the start of their journey together. Those further along the road of making a home will also feel counseled and inspired by Dia Boyle’s kind and lucid prose. Never has attending to the concept and creation of “home” been more urgent than in these culturally precarious times. Dia Boyle makes a beautifully nuanced case for the vocation of home-maker, which is always realistic and practical, and avoids the cliches and labels of so much social media chatter. By the end of this book I was deeply reflective about my own home— and uplifted and inspired by an author who seems to genuinely care about her readers.
